I only have Macs at home/work, so I find it interesting that many free apps above relate to viruses and adware, which the Macs are so far immune from. I'm not at all techie myself, and often find entering the right stuff in the right boxes totally bemusing. However, I must thank many of the commenters above, who have saved me an awful lot of homework finding free resources for both me, and my readers. If you pay me a visit - look for the bat!
