Writing your own Sales Copy? – Here’s a Helping Hand
Following on from Mandy’s well written post last week I would like emphasise the importance of grabbing your potential customers attention as soon as they hit your sales page.
You will recall Mandy talked about grabbing the attention of the reader before they leave your sales page as it will more than likely be the one and only time they will visit your page. So what do you do to stop them from leaving forever? It’s simple- GRAB THEIR ATTENTION QUICKLY!
But how do you know which colour is best to use, does Bold text convert as well as non-bold text? Which Font and size attract the readers eyes and encourage them to keep reading?
You probably don’t know the answer to these questions especially if you do not have any sales copy experience.
Right now there seems to be hundreds of eBooks and courses on copy writing available all of over the Internet, which is hardly surprising considering that it’s one of the most important elements of a website!
Without good copy it wouldn’t matter how many visitors a site had – it needs to sell to those visitors.
Yet it’s also one of the most costly considerations for anyone setting up a site, and one of the most neglected…
Usually due to either the overall high cost involved in hiring a professional copywriter, or to the confusion that reigns supreme when one attempts to learn the art of writing good copy from the many eBooks and courses one can buy.
Now I am no sales copy expert, neither am I a professional copy righter (yet). I actually research and source my advice on sales copy from experts in that field and one such expert I would like to introduce you to today is Randy Smith.
Randy Smith owns and operates several websites dedicated to copy writing services and is the author and creator of SalesLetterABC. But what is SalesLetterABC and how can it help you?
At just 33 pages – it’s probably one of the shorter products in the field of teaching copy writing but this is only because of Randy’s direct ‘no fuff’ writing style. Everything in this eBook is written in a way that is straight to the point with a no nonsense approach that makes the information easy to digest and take on board.
If anything, one of the complaints I’ve always had with most copy courses – is that they are written by copywriters for copywriters. This is where SalesLetterABC differs as it is actually written for the average marketer.
It teaches the basics but without the required degree in psychology that many assume you have!
It also includes a template which can be used as a guide to copy and paste your own content over. This does present an advantage for many who don’t really know where to start, as it’s a simple task to replace the headline with your own and the next section with your own etc. right down to the P.S.’s at the end. What can be made easier than copying and pasting your way through a sales letter?
The other advantage of this eBook being only 33 pages long is that the content is all relevant unlike most Sales Copy eBooks you find on the market today containing hundreds of pages of nonsense with very little content or relativity.
So if you are looking for a quick, easy to follow guide to sales copy writing then SalesLetterABC really does the get 2 thumbs up from me.
I really do believe anyone wanting to get started writing their own sales letters would do well to invest in this product and learn from it. How can I say this?
Because I own a copy myself, yes I have invested in this product and can personally vouch for its simplicity and authenticity.
Randy is also so confident in his product that he offers a double your money back guarantee, so if you have a product and need to create sales pages that converts your leads into sales you really have nothing to lose with this product.
